Each year, over 10,000 delegates representing 3 million members come together at one of the largest education conventions in America - the National Education Association EXPO. Join us at the NEA EXPO 2019 this summer in Houston, TX

What is the National Education Association (NEA)?

The NEA is America's oldest and largest organization committed to advancing the cause of public education. Founded in 1857 in Philadelphia and now headquartered in Washington, D.C., the NEA proudly claims over 3 million members who work at every level of education. The NEA has affiliates in every state as well as in over 13,000 local communities across the United States.

Elected delegates representing 50 states and US territories will gather in George R. Brown Convention Center a huge 700,000 square foot venue.

NEA EXPO attendees gather to serve as delegates at their Representative Assembly (RA). During the RA, delegates will propose, debate, and take action on new business items for the Association and other association policies, and vote by secret ballot on proposed amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws. Executive officers, Executive Committee members, and at-large members of the NEA Board of Directors will be elected.

About 76% of delegates are teachers while the rest are former educators or education support staff. Delegates will also be with some family members or invited guests thus appealing not just to the educational exhibitors but those with family-oriented products and services as well.

The Membership Breakdown

The demographic composition of the NEA's membership of 3 million educators and support personnel makes it an attractive target group for most marketers. Around 70% of the membership are married; the average age is 46. Women make up more than 70% of the group, and more than 80% have children. The average household income is $75,000, and two-thirds are homeowners.

No other convention gives you one-on-one access to over 10,000 NEA attendees representing over 3 million NEA members nationwide.
